Harvest Festival at St. Peter's Church
We were delighted to officially welcome Rev. Rich Duncan to the BJS family. It was wonderful to see the church so full with so many parents and carers. We were very privileged to have a number of special guests join us too including the Archdeacon - Ven. Richard Ormston, Rev Doug Spenceley (who has supported us so well whilst we were awaiting our new incumbent) and Peter French – Deputy Director of Peterborough Diocese.
This year our harvest donations went to the Hope Centre in Northampton. Earlier in the term Tanya from the Hope Centre came to visit the school and explain about their work. She talked to the children about homelessness and poverty in Northampton, the role of the Hope Centre Charity and what we could do as a school to help. As a result of her visit, and to demonstrate compassion, we collected items such as tinned and packet goods which were placed at the altar.
