Extra Curricular After Schools Clubs
Our wide ranging extra curricular activities enable children to learn new skills, improve existing skills and have the opportunity to mix socially with different children. We regularly change clubs to ensure many different interests are catered for. Below you will find the current program and some of the previous opportunities we have been able to offer.
Playleader Scheme
At Brackley C of E Junior School, we are very fortunate to be able to operate the nationally recognised ‘Playleader Scheme’. The aim of the scheme is to introduce and develop leadership skills in Yr 5 and 6 children by training them so that they can organise activities for other children in the playground, with the intention of increasing the amount of physical activity undertaken during lunchtime. A group of Upper KS2 children have been provided with training to equip them with the skills to lead activities and help them organise a wide range of pursuits including Football, Basketball, Obstacle courses, Art, Board games and Den Building in the Summer Term. During lunchtime, our Playleaders usually run at least 2 different activities each week which are well received by the rest of the school community.
