Breakfast Club Provision Statement (KS2)
Our school provides a dedicated Breakfast Club for KS2 pupils, ensuring that children in Years 3–6 have a calm, nurturing start to their day. The provision offers a nutritious, balanced breakfast, served in accordance with the national School Food Standards, so that pupils are energised and ready to learn.
During the session, children are supervised by our trained school staff, providing a safe space for social interaction, friendship building, and gentle transition into the school day through age-appropriate, structured activities.
The Breakfast Club operates on a pre-booked slot system, allowing families to reserve places in advance to support consistent routines. Bookings can be made using through the ParentPay app. A small daily charge of £4.00 (increasing to £4.75 on 1st January 2026) is applied to help cover staffing, resources, and food provision. Concessions or subsidised places may be available for eligible families to ensure that all KS2 pupils can access a healthy start to the day.
This provision supports our school’s wider goals: promoting children’s wellbeing, improving attendance and punctuality, and helping families by offering reliable before-school care.
In line with official guidance, Ofsted may observe pupils at the breakfast club as part of the school inspection, as the provision falls under the school’s overall inspection framework rather than requiring separate registration.
