Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Twenty-six children joined NMPAT and 9 other school in 'The BIG Sing' at the Royal and Derngate theatre in Northampton. Beth, one of the children attending, wrote the following on her return:
On Thursday 5 March l went to the Royal Derngate Theatre to perform Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat on the stage with some of the other children from Brackley C of E Junior school.
We've been practising since January. Beth Hodgson from Northamptonshire Music and performing arts trust taught us all the songs and actions we needed to know .It was lots of fun learning it. BJS were very lucky because we were at the front singing with all the actors as they performed .
When our family's came to watch us ,they easily spotted our red t-shirts and our happy faces amongst about 400 children .
We sang all 21 songs off by heart as the actors acted it all out .
It was an amazing experience and I will remember it forever .Thank you Mrs Peet, Mrs Eatwell and Mrs Murphy for making It happen. It was a fantastic opportunity.
Town Council Visit Brackley C of E Junior School
We were delighted to be able to welcome Town Mayor, Cllr Anthony Bagot-Webb to our collective worship. Public servants are a valuable asset to the local communities. It was a wonderful opportunity for the pupils to see the value of the term 'Service' in action through Cllr Bagot-Webb's role as a public servant. We welcomed the following feedback from Cllr Bagot-Webb:
‘I really enjoyed my visit, both from meeting and speaking to the children but also seeing the strong ethos that is driving the development of the children. This coming through in the confidence of the children, politeness, discipline and standard of dress. In fact, all the things that I now appreciate as important and drilled into me during my junior school days.'
