Slopes are uneven and footpaths steep cambers, both provide a barrier to persons with visual and mobility impairment. Steps provide access to school field. Handrails are not present. A significant part of the playground is adjacent and at the top of a steep slope descending toward the school buildings. A physical barrier segregating playground and slope is essential for the safety of users with mobility and vision impairments. |

Some accommodation is at second floor level. This is unlikely to be accessible to wheelchair users without significant and costly modification. The open stairwell configuration also poses a barrier to users with vision impairment. Specifically the back of the stairs are of an open design for two thirds of their width making it difficult for users to distinguish each stair. |
